Education & Accomplishments:  Jena is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Her unique treatment plan emphasizes on an integrative mental health approach that encompasses nutrition management, physical activity, making positive connections, and living purpose-driven lives. With over a decade of healthcare experience, Jena focuses on cultivating a compassionate, trusting, empowering, professional relationship with her patients. She wants her patients to feel heard and have a multitude of options in their care plans.

Her passion is working with children and adults of all ages, with a special interest in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), ADHD, autism, mood disorders, eating disorders, anxiety, and depression. She has completed numerous training courses on alternative supplements and nutritional psychiatry and received special training in PMADs through Postpartum Support International (PSI).

She comes from an array of nursing specialties: psychiatry, rehabilitation, emergency medicine, fertility, and medical-surgical. Because of her extensive experience in a multitude of specialties, she is keen on identifying hidden factors that can hinder mental health, such as hormonal imbalances, inflammation, and interactions with common medications.

Jena received her Bachelor of Arts from Central College. After two years of service in AmeriCorps, she attended Loyola University to obtain her Bachelor of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois. She continued her education through Allen College, receiving her Master of Science in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
