Shane Higgins, PA-C

Shane was born and raised in Northeast Iowa. He attended Iowa State University and graduated with a BS (1997) and MS (1999) in Exercise Science. He completed his Physician Assistant training at Des Moines University in 2002. He is forever a Hawkeye fan but also cheers for Iowa State.

He joined Story County Medical Center in 2010 and currently sees patients in the Family Medicine Clinic, as well as assisting in the operating room with orthopedic joint replacement surgery and gynecological surgeries.

Shane lives in Nevada and has five children. He enjoys attending his kids' sporting events, hunting, fishing and relaxing by the fire. He is active in his parish at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Nevada.
