Education & Accomplishments: Dr. LaVille Thoren earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the University of Iowa in May 2020. She is board‑certified by the ANCC as a Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and is licensed to practice in Iowa and Minnesota. In addition to providing direct care, her teaching background spans several years and includes mental health nursing lectures and clinicals, psychopharmacology, general pharmacology, health promotion, and community health courses. For her doctoral evidence‑based practice project, Dr. Thoren focused on the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM); her work has led to both publication and multiple successful presentations on the topic.
