The Story County Medical Center Endowment Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that accepts gifts on behalf of Story County Medical Center. Your contribution to the Story Medical Endowment Foundation enables you to extend a meaningful gift, contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services for our community residents. Anyone can participate in this enduring tradition of enhancing the health of our community. The Story Medical Endowment Foundation recognizes the pivotal role donors play in achieving the mission of Story Medical.

The Foundation offers various giving opportunities:

General Fund Donations

Cash donations may be made to the general fund or designated for specific uses (i.e., healthcare education programs). Memoriam funds can be established as designated funds (the administrator of the memoriam will then decide the use of the funds). Non-designated funds may be used for operating costs, capital improvement expenses, or community involvement activities.

Please include a note with the gift that indicates general fund or other designation.

Story Medical Endowment Foundation also has options for monthly debiting that allows gifts to be given year-round.

Capital Campaign Donations

We can accept gifts designated for future capital expenses.

Scholarships

Annually, The Story Medical Center Endowment Foundation grants scholarships to graduating seniors from Ballard High School, Collins-Maxwell High School, Colo-Nesco High School, Gilbert High School, Nevada High School, or Roland-Story High School.

The scholarship is intended to support graduating seniors aspiring to pursue post-secondary education at any state-accredited institution offering training in a health-related field. Recipients of this scholarship can apply the funds towards legitimate school expenses, including tuition, fees, and books.

The Story Medical Center Endowment Foundation has partnered with the Story County Community Foundation and established the scholarship fund as a permanent endowment fund. Those donors who give to a permanently endowed fund at a qualified community foundation are eligible to receive a 25% state income tax credit for their gift. Donors are also able to take advantage of Endow Iowa tax credits in conjunction with federal tax deductions.

Please contact us if you’d like additional information on our scholarship fund.
