Story Medical Introduces State-of-the-Art Telescribe Services

Medical scribe technology, essentially a virtual assistant to aid physicians in charting encounters with patients, has become commonplace in the inpatient hospital environment. Story Medical is taking the technology a step further by becoming the first Midwest provider to introduce ScribeAmerica’s scribe in the primary care setting.

As medical documentation and electronic medical records have become more complex, many physicians have begun using medical scribe technology to chart physician-patient encounters in real-time. Scribes allow providers to practice medicine and provide a positive patient experience while capturing all pertinent medical documentation.

Story Medical began using ScribeAmerica’s services this month.

“We welcome this new technology,” says Megan Myers, Story Medical Director of Clinics. “We are confident it will further improve the physician-patient relationship by increasing physician availability. In visiting with Dr. Check and Dr. Palar, I know that both are looking forward to using this new technology to better serve our patients.”
