All of our residents are cared for by staff who are licensed or certified by the State of Iowa. In addition to providing the clinical care required, they provide an emotional connection that helps residents become a part of the Story Medical family.
Physicians visit residents routinely, and an emergency physician is on call at all times. Medical care provided to residents is family-based and backed by all the resources of Story Medical.

Residents can also utilize Story Medical's outpatient clinic and surgical services for a variety of specialty healthcare needs.
Promoting Active Lifestyles
In addition to medical services, a comprehensive daily activities program is provided for all residents under the direction of an activities coordinator. Musical programs, devotions, fitness fun, and cooking classes are just a few of the activities offered each month. Senior Care also has a wheel-chair accessible van to transport residents to appointments, and a 15-passenger bus for day trips, scenic tours and other activities.
Exercise and social interaction are encouraged for all residents. Exercise equipment is available for residents to use with nursing supervision. Rehabilitation aides offer one-on -one assistance to residents to help maintain or increase physical mobility.
