Education & Accomplishments: Dr. Gessner began practicing at Doran Clinic on September 1, 2009. Before moving to Ames, she was associated with Marshalltown OB/GYN P.C. where she practiced for nine years. Dr. Gessner graduated from Des Moines University, College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1996 and completed her residency at Akron City Hospital, Akron, Ohio in 2000. She is Board Certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is a fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is a member of the American Medical Association.
