New Look for 2012 Race
In 2012, for the first time in 22 years, Story County
Center’s Beat the Street race will be conducted
as a function of the Story County
Medical Center Endowment Foundation. The Story Medical Foundation
strives to champion health in our community. Assuming hosting
responsibilities for Beat the Street allows the foundation to meet that
goal, while at the same time providing charitable deductibility for the
sponsors of the event.
In conjunction with the new era of
planning, the logo was redesigned to give the historic race a new feel.
Committee members wanted the logo to embrace the streetscape of
Nevada, and local graphic designer, Jen Jeffrey,
designed the new logo to do just that.
