Sleep Studies at Story Medical
We know how important a good night’s sleep is in helping your body
restore and function at its best. We also know that figuring out WHY you're
not getting proper sleep is a difficult task. There are many reasons that
may be keeping you from healthy rest, and your healthcare provider may
recommend a sleep study to get to the root of the problem.
A sleep study is a noninvasive, pain-free procedure that usually requires
spending a night in one of Story Medical's sleep rooms. During the night
various sleep patterns are monitored by a sleep technician. Our sleep rooms
are spacious and ensure your comfort and privacy. Each room is outfitted to
be as close to home as possible with a comforter for your bed, extra
pillows, a sound machine/alarm clock and more. In addition, every room has a
private bathroom and shower for your convenience.
After a study is complete, the data is tabulated by a technologist and
presented to board-certified sleep physician, Dr. Selden Spencer, for
interpretation.
