Education & Accomplishments: The
Rochester, Minnesota, native completed his undergraduate studies in
dietetics at Iowa State University.
He was in practice as a registered dietitian for five years before charging
career paths and entering the profession of dentistry.
His dental training included obtaining his doctorate of dental
surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He
then went on to complete two additional years of specialty training in
pediatric dentistry at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.
Pyfferoen's pediatric dental clinic opened in Ames in September
2010. He sees patients from infancy up to age 18, including children with
special healthcare needs.
